MR Jeff Fischer suffers setback



Monday, July 9th, 1990: Team doctors say reliever Jeff Fischer will need an additional two weeks recovery time from his torn labrum. "It's not pressing he return before he's ready", a concerned manager Rodgers stated.

So far this off season has been a good one. We've been able to save alot of money for free agency and extensions thanks to the success of the ballclub, and compensation picks from the last draft. In the list below with the exception of catcher M. Merullo (backup catcher), and Phil Plantier who'll be trying to earn a spot in the lineup this coming season; all play key roles in their perspective positions.

 The following players received a 1-year contract through automatic renewal worth a total of $167,405.
