MR Jeff Fischer suffers setback

Expos land Brett, Wallach on the move

It's official. Montreal inked thirdbaseman George Brett to a 3 year deal. Brett's deal includes 7.3 million the first year and 6.5 for the next two. "It's certainly great to be here", the thirdbaseman was quoted as saying. "Anytime you're given a chance to go to a team that is playoff proven, and wants to win a world series... how can you refuse".


The move made the current thirdbaseman Tim Wallach instantly accessible. "Needless to say it was a bit of a surprise", Wallach stated. "But i do understand the wanting to win, and have accepted the fact that this is baseball, and it's all about the business".
